Based in Surbiton I am a short skip from London, Surrey and the South East.
My office hours are between 9:00am and 5.30pm. That said, clients have my direct number and when it’s urgent they are able to call me out of hours. Retained clients can expect to hear back from me within 4 hours and everyone else usually on the same day. If I am busy I will let you know and give you an exact timeframe for when you can expect to hear from me.
I usually like to come to your office first, as it helps me begin to understand your business and meet you and your team. After that I tend to work remotely, unless you’d like to see me regularly in which case I am happy to do that too.
This is difficult to answer until I know more about what you require. In every instance and before I commence any work on your behalf, I am upfront about what you will expect to pay and when. If you need a steer, give me a buzz and I can tell you more.
Yes I'd love to! No job is too small and many of my clients started off "employing" friends and then go on to formalise the working relationship - just give me a call on 07803 726931
Yes of course. I recognise that some businesses need absolute flexibility and if you choose this route, I will be clear about what that looks like in terms of your commitment and my fees. That said, many of my clients choose to retain my services which offers you even greater value. My retained services start from just two hours per month.
Yes, I have Professional Indemnity Insurance to the level of £1m, Public Liability Insurance to the value of £1m and Employer’s Liability Insurance to the value of £10m.
No I don’t. Cajun HR Services are not employment lawyers however I am highly conversant with UK employment law. I have access to the legal helpline provided by my professional body (the CIPD) should I require some specific clarity on a complex matter and depending on the situation I may advise you that you should seek more in-depth legal advice. Should specialist legal advice be necessary, I can share with you details of a trusted handful of employment solicitors I work with, and support you to resolve the issue. And just to be clear I only recommend people I know, like and trust, as I know our reputation relies on recommending other professionals who share my values.
Sure. Ideally I’d like to understand the nature of your query and then I can put you in touch with someone who may have used my services in a similar way.
I work on both a project and retained basis and would always quote you a price before starting any work. Projects may be as small as the production of a document, or ad hoc advice to resolve a one off problem or alternatively larger projects around specific topics. A retained contract is for a minimum of three hours per month which allows for a more proactive and developed relationship.
Cajun HR Services is an HR consultancy rather than a recruitment consultancy, but I do support our clients in recruitment whether that is partnering with a recruitment agency or undertaking direct recruitment providing everything from job descriptions and person specifications, recruitment adverts, undertaking telephone and face to face or video interviews, provide interview scripts and feedback – I could go on, but you get the picture!
I'm asked so often, and some people work it out! If not, rather than say here I promise to tell you over a cuppa or glass of something sometime!
Doing interesting work, with interesting businesses, with interesting people and knowing that I've have played a small part in that business's success. That's what matters to me.

Helping Companies allow people to be people, while still letting businesses get on with business. Simple.
