Our office is in the centre of Kingston upon Thames. The nearest train station is Kingston, which is just a 5 minute walk from our office. The office is on the road parallel to the bus station. The nearest car park is Canbury Place car park, which is also a 5 minute walk from our office. There is on street parking on the roads outside the office too.
Our office hours are between 9:00am and 5.30pm. That said, clients have our direct numbers and when it’s urgent they are able to call us out of hours. Retained clients can expect to hear back from us within 4 hours and everyone else usually on the same day. If we are busy we will let you know and give you an exact timeframe for when you can expect to hear from us.
We usually like to come to your office first, as it helps us begin to understand your business and meet you and your team. After that we tend to work remotely, unless you’d like to see us regularly in which case we are happy to do that too.

Yes of course. We recognise that some businesses need absolute flexibility and if you choose this route, we will be clear about what that looks like in terms of your commitment and our fees. That said, many of our clients choose to retain our services which offers you even greater value. Our retained services start from just two hours per month.
Yes, we have Professional Indemnity Insurance to the level of £1m, Public Liability Insurance to the value of £1m and Employer’s Liability Insurance to the value of £10m.
No we don’t. Cajun HR Services are not employment lawyers however we are highly conversant with UK employment law. We have access to the legal helpline provided by our professional body (the CIPD) should we require some specific clarity on a complex matter and depending on the situation we may advise you that you should seek more in-depth legal advice. Should specialist legal advice be necessary, we can share with you details of a trusted handful of employment solicitors we work with, and support you to resolve the issue. And just to be clear we only recommend people we know, like and trust, as we know our reputation relies on recommending other professionals who share our values.

We work on a two-hour minimum and for example, that would probably cover the drafting of a simple employment contract. Depending on the nature of the assignment, we either invoice you at the end of the month or ask that you split payment into three tranches – one third on appointment, one third on receipt of first draft, and final third on submission of final drafts.
We are an HR consultancy rather than a recruitment consultancy, but we do support our clients in recruitment whether that is partnering with a recruitment agency or undertaking direct recruitment providing everything from job descriptions and person specifications, recruitment adverts, undertaking telephone and face to face or video interviews, provide interview scripts and feedback – we could go on, but you get the picture!
We are small but growing team. Cajun was founded by Kate and Jen in 2011 and has grown slowly around our family commitments, now a bunch of teenagers – how time flies! We are now supported by an admin team and are looking for new junior consultants to further support us. Oh and don’t forget Mr Crumbles the office dog, he has a big part to play in Cajun life getting us out and about.
